I remember reading your article in 2019, my heart racing as I was in a very similar situation. I’d met my husband when I was 18 at uni, we got married 10 years later and had 2 beautiful kids, a lovely house and a great life on 2 incomes. Me being the main breadwinner. We managed to get back on track – he never admitted the affair but somehow life resumed, and with Covid it felt like we had dodged a massive bullet.

On Friday 27th Feb he left us. He’s having an affair (which I worked out and confronted him with when pissed as he kept telling me ‘everything’s fine’ when sober) with a 37 year old from his work. He’s 56, type 1 diabetic, has an under-active thyroid and balding, so honestly she’s welcome to him. I just can’t believe after 32 years together I had no idea who this man was/is. He did it in front of the ‘kids’ – 22 and 16, and now he is being a total c**t. How the hell do I get my head ’round this? Please help me with some advice! I mean literally WTAF?
