“I am in the pits of hell… and I’m now raising two newborns alone.”

Hi Rosie,

7 weeks ago I found messages on my husband’s phone showing he’d fallen in love with his assistant at work. We got married 2.5 yrs ago, and had been together for 14 yrs (since we were 18). At the time of finding the messages, our identical twin girls were 6 weeks old. We had a month of back and forth, with him trying to figure out if he wanted to try and save our marriage.

I was so shocked and desperate that I was willing to forgive him and salvage our happy family life – but ultimately he only wanted to stay for the girls, not for me (and I said I needed a husband not just a housemate/co-parent) so he left.

I am in the darkest pits of hell, as I don’t remember life without him and am now raising two newborns alone (albeit with the help of amazing family and friends). I’ve read your book (twice) and so much of it really resonates with me, so I wanted to say thank you so much for writing it. It’s meant a lot to know that others have survived something similar.
