“My ex keeps wavering on his decision, asking to slow down the divorce…”

Hi Rosie,

I just wanted to message to thank you so much for writing your book. I’m in the middle of a divorce and it has helped me beyond anything. The words you describe how it feels and what you went through resonated so much for me. My husband of 15 years (together 17 yrs) left me less than 6 weeks after my dad died, for a joint personal trainer we had who I thought was my friend. I didn’t know this at the beginning, I found out in dribs and drabs. Both then gaslit me and made me out to be a liar, it has been beyond hurtful.

I’ve been focusing on myself and rebuilding my life even though its so hard, throwing myself into exercise and spending time with friends when I don’t have the children, reminding me of the things I enjoy. Your book made me feel a lot better. I know I am strong and will rise out of this, even though there are tough days still. Your words and advice just helped so much. Thank you so much for writing the book.

I feel like there’s wave after traumatic wave still coming because my ex keeps wavering on his decision, asking to slow down the divorce because “he’s not ready” but won’t finish things with his affair partner, who, because we live in a small town, wanted him to keep the affair secret and persuaded him to move out to an isolated farm cottage, which of course my kids hate.

At the moment I feel like I’ve been following the advice in your book, working on myself and my friendships, and the kids, and hitting the gym. We women are made of tough stuff, but honestly, the practical advice in your book was soooo helpful! I needed it!
